Prince William County Reckless Driving Charge Dismissed
January 2021
Client was charged with Reckless Driving on I-66 in Prince William County for driving 85mph in a 70mph zone. Client had recently purchased a new vehicle that had much more power than they were used to. This fact was explained to the trooper and the client was otherwise polite and cooperative. The client also had a clean driving record. Due to the excessive speed the client was risking a misdemeanor conviction and potential driver's license suspension. However, we appeared in the Prince William County General District Court and negotiated a dismissal of the charge following completion of traffic school. The client completed all requirements and the charge was dismissed. As a result, they avoided a misdemeanor conviction and their driving record remains clean.
